A Beach Wrap for All Year

When you have been to the seaside with young children for the day you will quickly realise what a fantastic product a beach wrap is.  When your children come out of the sea and want to play on the sand they don’t want to get dressed because they might want to go back in the sea.  A great way to keep them warm and dry while they are playing is to put them in a beach wrap.  It’s a kid’s towel that goes over their swimming costumes a bit like a dressing gown.  It absorbs the water, keeps them dry and warm until they want to go back into the sea.  It can have a hood which keeps their head warm if their hair is wet.

If you are a family like us and don’t often venture to the beach other than those annual chip eating, ice cream licking seaside holidays, you might question whether it is worth spending out on a product like this and if just a normal kids towel will do the job perfectly well and if you are not one for spending money on gadgets if you can manage without them.

I had exactly this view until someone pointed out that if the beach wraps are such a great idea, instead of just for the beach, why not use them all year round instead of the classic kids towels, so we found one online that we liked that had arms and a hood and wrapped round with poppers at the front, it had a pocket at the front great for collecting pebbles, shells and for swimming goggles and swimming hats, it very quickly replaced our standard towel.

We took it swimming when we went we went to our local pool, took it to the poolside  and my daughter could wear it as soon as we got out of the water, while we were sorting out lockers and clothes to get dressed.  We also now use it at home as the kids towels for bath time, it’s great because they use them as dressing gowns until they are dry enough to get their pyjamas on.  In fact we have grown to use and love the product so much that our old kid’s towels have become completely redundant.  It has even got to the point where I am struggling to wash and dry it in time for its next use.

Of course when we next visit the beach we will be taking our beach wraps as well, but we don’t have to use them just for the beach.  Now I am worried what happens when they get too big for them and I cannot get any bigger sizes.  It is funny when you find something so brilliant that you think you can’t manage without it, even though we have for years,  I never thought it would happen with a kids towel.
