Car Seat Protector

It is a great idea to invest in car seat protector because having spills in the car can be a complete nightmare.  I have firsthand experience of this, I was transporting some trays of food for an event and the Moroccan stew gravy spilled into my boot. I cleaned it up, but a week or so later the smell was still there, my partner looked into the boot and took out the carpet and found that the gravy had leaked right down into the spare wheel and was in the seal around the boot door.  We had to clean the whole boot out and jet wash the carpets. We did eventually get rid of the spill and the smell but it was a nightmare and something I wouldn’t wish to repeat.

My sister also had an experience which could have been avoided by a car seat protector; she was transporting puddings and cream in a pot that had previously been opened.  The cream spilled out in the car and when all over the seat and floor.  The seat had to be washed over and over with hot soapy water because it had soaked right in.  It had to be got out quickly because as soon as the car heated up and the cream went off, the smell would have been terrible and it may have started to rot the seats.

Car seat protectors can be for standard domestic use in the family car or they are industrial which people tend to use in things like the construction industry or engineering when vehicles can get very dusty and dirty.  I think it is very useful to have them when you have children because they tend to make lots of mess and it can save the seats especially if you want to resell the car in the future. It may also protect against the wear of the seats which may help keep it in a better condition.

A great idea, that is fairly new are car seat protectors for baby seats, it means that you can wash the protector instead of the seat, particularly if you have a very sicky baby this can be a brilliant solution.  Baby seats often have covers that don’t come off and if they do come off, it is often very difficult to do  and get back on with all the straps in the right place. 

Car seat protectors are not an essential product but they can make life much easier and protect the car from all sorts of things.  If you want a set that looks good you can go for coloured covers or funky designs or even sporty options that make your seats look like racing seats or rally car seats. You can make it a car accessory not just a practical option.  Look around to see all the options and check quality and price before you buy to make sure you are getting the best deal.
