A great place to research products is at large baby shows and exhibitions; they normally have the latest products and have most of them on display so you can see them.  They have people who understand the products and help you choose the type that you want.  You can often get good deals at the shows and sometimes negotiate on the price particularly if you are buying more than one item.  However you must bear in mind that companies at baby show are there to sell and will try to convince you that all products are essentials for a new baby.  Make sure you take a list of what you are looking for; you can always take information about products you have seen that you are interested in.  Most of them will sell online so you can buy at a later date if you still want it.
