Great Ideas - Travel Wrap
When can you use a travel wrap, are they just for when you are on the move? I don’t think they are exclusively for travelling; there are so many more uses for them. Adults can use them for relaxing at home; you might like to sit and watch the TV or read a book on the sofa. What about camping or other outdoor activities? When you are sitting around outside your tent or caravan a wrap could come in really handy, especially in the evening when the sun goes down and it becomes a bit chilly.
Of course using it while travelling is the intended use of a travel wrap, you might be a passenger in a car or coach on a long journey and if you fancy a nap, it can be warm and cosy. Air travel can sometime be chilly if the air conditioning is on and of course on a long flight you may need to sleep.
Wraps can be great for kids travelling in buggies, pushchairs on in the car seat in the car. If you want them to keep warm and maybe sleep when you are out and about there is nothing better than a wrap that covers them from the neck to toes and sometimes incorporate a hood, it can be unwrapped if they get too hot. They could also benefit from a wrap on a long flight when they need to sleep.
Before there was such a thing as a travel wrap, they had travel rugs or blankets which people kept in the car for long journeys, it was important to have when cars were much less reliable and had no recovery. You might be stuck in a car for some time if you broke down somewhere remote and might have to wait many hours. In the cold weather these travel rugs could be a lifeline in keeping warm.
Travel wraps can be like a shawl or Pashmina, you can wear them with an outfit as a coat or cardigan and they can a glamorous accessory to an evening gown at a ball or similar event. They can be a beautiful fashion accessory to keep the chill off, not all that practical if you are trying to do a lot with your arms. Wraps that are really only for travelling tend to be much bigger and longer, you can cover your whole body up and sometime get them with arms or hoods, more like cloak.
Travel wraps come in so many types, sizes and colours and can be used for so many different things, they are very versatile. There is a massive range of prices that you can pay for them depending on the type, brand and what they are made from. Have a good look around shops and search on the internet to see what you can find. I was amazed by the choice of price and style and I am sure you will be too.
