Why you need a baby hoodie
'It allows you to get out and about quickly, easily and effortlessly and to keep your baby at a safe, comfortable temperature. It is also very versatile - it's suitable for car seats, pushchairs and bouncy chairs.

So what is a Baby Hoodie?
It’s a stylish hooded travel wrap which is uniquely shaped to fit neatly into any standard infant car seat or pushchair and most bouncy chairs. It features giant buttonholes to feed the 3 or 5 point safety harness through. The deer-stalker style hood provides extra protection across your baby’s forehead and ears in cold, windy weather and lies completely flat behind your baby’s head when it’s not being worn. All seams are concealed making it cuddly and soft both inside and out…..and what's more, this makes it completely reversible!

The Baby Hoodie is made from two layers of top quality spunpoly lambskin anti-pil fleece. This unique fabric is extremely light and comfortable, ensuring body heat is maintained, whilst the fine, porous fleece allows baby's skin to breathe.

Embroidery costs just £5.00 for one name and £1.50 for a second name (like a surname) on the same hoodie. Only one name can be embroidered on a blanket.You can choose the colour of fleece you want embroidered - this will be the outer colour. For example if you want embroidery on a charcoal/red hoodie, you can have it on either charcoal or red. You need to specify which colour fleece you want on the outside of the hoodie.

PLEASE NOTE: Hoodies (and blankets) for embroidery are made to order especially for you; the hood has to be embroidered before the baby hoodie is made up so that the embroidery only goes through a single layer, and does not spoil the appearance of the other side of the double fleece fabric. For this reason we regret that we cannot arrange personalisation of sale stock, and we cannot accept returns of personalised orders (unless they are faulty).

The Morrck Lightweight, Medium and Ultralight Hoodies

By popular demand we launched a lightweight version of the hoodie in Summer 2006. Following on from the instant success of the new range, we added a Medium Weight in Spring 2007, and an Ultralight 100% cotton hoodie at the same time.

The Ultralight Jersey Hoodie is made from two layers of best-quality 100% cotton jersey. The cool fabric is ideal for the height of summer, and for holidays and travelling, when babies do still need a light layer. It provides a high degree of sun protection (and something to help keep the carseat clean!). The style of the hood also helps to shield baby's eyes from the glare of the sun.

The Lightweight Gingham Hoodie is made of one layer of our top-quality fleece, lined with polycotton gingham, and is suitable for use all year round. Perfect for those cooler summer evenings, it is also ideal for parents who prefer a cotton-rich layer next to baby's skin, and babies who like a lighter covering. The gingham blend (35% cotton, 65% polyester) is an easy-care fabric, which washes beautifully, and needs no ironing.

The Medium Weight Jersey Hoodie is also made with one layer of our fleece, and lined with 100% cotton jersey. It too is suitable all year round, and provides a more substantial wrap than the gingham hoodie. The colour range is being expanded all the time.

Sizing
Morrck Baby Hoodies are available in three sizes (age ranges are approximate):
Size 1: Birth to 5 months
This will fit any standard infant carseat (Group 0), pushchair or bouncy chair, with a 3 or 5 point safety harness.
Size 2: 4 to 18 months
Designed to fit the same seats as size 1, and our new version now also fits Group 0+ and 1 car seats (see below).
Size 3: 12 months to 4 years
For use in Group 1 seats. (Please note; these are not designed for buggy use as the extra fabric length could become entangled in the wheels.)

Size 2 and the new Size 3 Hoodies have been redesigned for 2007 to enable their use in the second-stage carseats - also, confusingly, known as Group 1 seats. These seats have a different strap arrangement from the infant seats and buggies. (Please note; discontinued lines and sale stock may only be available in the 2006 style; this will be made clear before you purchase your Hoodie.)

Safety 1st

All safety harnesses pass through the back of the Hoodie for added safety and comfort.

Trying to get out and about with babies, particularly twins or more, can be a time consuming and frustrating business. Putting little arms and legs into snowsuits or coats to go out, taking them off again when the weather - or the car - warms up, or when you move from a cold environment to a warm one and the baby has fallen asleep... it's a lot of effort that doesn't add any enjoyment to your daily routine.
